JOZO translates its heritage into a contemporary brand identity
Rebranding brings greater transparency and structure to the range

JOZO, one of Europe’s best known salt brands, is launching a refreshed brand identity to be gradually rolled out across its entire range. With a clear visual style and a strong focus on recognisability, the brand aims to better support both consumers and retailers in their decision-making process.
The new branding translates the essence of JOZO – purity, simplicity and craftsmanship – into a contemporary and consistent packaging design. At its core is a strong and recognisable design whose deep blue base colour connects the different products, while clear colour accents for each variant ensure quick orientation. The iconic salt house, referring to the drilling towers once used to reach deep salt layers, and the quality label ‘Purity in every grain’ take centre stage. Together, they anchor the brand’s heritage and reliability, from the pure brine source, hundreds of metres underground, to free-flowing salt of consistent quality.
“This rebranding makes it easier for consumers to find their way along the shelf, without compromising JOZO’s recognisability,” says Nico Basson, Retail Segment Manager at JOZO. “We continue to build on our rich history while translating it into a modern universe that better reflects how people shop and cook today.”
In addition to the visual refresh, ease of use also plays a key role. The packaging has been designed to make the range more transparent and to communicate the differences between applications, grain sizes and salt types more effectively. For example, iodised salt, sea salt, Himalayan salt and flakes each receive their own colour coding. This makes it easier to choose the right product at a glance, whether it’s fine salt for everyday cooking or coarser varieties and flakes for specific uses. The new packaging will be introduced in retail in phases.
